He hates the fact there are divisions, and does not think it's fair that teams with better records than others get left out of the playoffs. "Baseball went to a multi-division setup to create more races, rivalries and excitement. But it isn't fair. ... "What if the Yankees finish the season with more wins than the Dodgers, but the Dodgers make the playoffs? Does that make the Dodgers a better team? No," Steinbrenner said. He also added the fact that the Cardinals won the World Series in 2006 was "ridiculous."
