He had been designated for assignment on May 12. He hit .271 with four RBI in 48 at-bats with the A's this year. He's going to go home for a few days and seems resigned to the fact that his pro career could be over. March 30, 2007 Todd Walker signed a minor-league deal with the Athletics Friday, the AP reports. "He's an offensive weapon," A's manager Bob Geren said. "He might just fit in perfectly with our plans. We'll see how it goes."
