Cairo went 2-for-4 with two doubles, posting three RBIs and one run scored along the way. May 14, 2008 Miguel Cairo hit a two-out RBI single in the 12th inning and the Seattle Mariners beat Texas 4-3 on Wednesday to avoid a sweep. January 9, 2008 The Mariners signed Miguel Cairo to a one-year deal Tuesday. Cairo batted .253 with 10 steals in 82 games with the Yankees and Cardinals last year. He's expected to fill a utility role, though it's possible he could push Jose Lopez for some playing time at second. August 21, 2007 The Cardinals signed Miguel Cairo to a minor league deal on Monday. Cairo can play all four infield positions, and he should be up with the big-league club in September. August 7, 2007 Miguel Cairo was designated for assignment by the Yankees on Tuesday. He hit .252 in 107 at-bats this year.
