The Red Sox signed Edgar Renteria to a four-year, $40 million contract on Wednesday, according to the Boston Globe. Renteria hit .287 with 10 home runs and 72 RBI last season for the Cardinals. "The biggest reason was that Boston is a traditional team," Renteria said. "They won the Series this year and I like to play on a winning team like Boston, St. Louis or any team that has the opportunity to win."
