The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Ken Griffey Jr is close enough to being activated from the disabled list that the Reds consider him day-to-day. "He's really turned the corner," Reds medical director Dr. Tim Kremchek said. "We're holding him back at this point. He's champing at the bit. But we don't want him to come back too soon. When he comes back, we want him healthy for the rest of the year."
