Ken Griffey Jr. had minor knee surgery Monday to clean out his knee and close a year-old incision that hasn't healed properly, according to the AP. The procedure is likely to set him back four weeks. Griffey decided last week to have the surgery instead of trying to return from a sprained right foot. The foot is expected to heal with a couple weeks of rest.
