He has been replaced on the roster by veteran backup Danny Ardoin, who has been on fire of late at Triple-A Las Vegas and had his contract purchased. To get Ardoin onto the 40-man roster, Dodgers had to move Jason Schmidt to the 60-day DL.

Bennett started at catcher in place of Russell Martin, who was moved to third base in place of the ailing Blake DeWitt (lower back pain).
