The Twins optioned Darnell McDonald back to Triple-A on Wednesday. He had one hit in 10 at-bats for the Twins.

Darnell McDonald was called up from Triple-A on Friday to replace the injured Michael Cuddyer on the roster, according to the AP. McDonald hit .282 with two homers in 22 games at Rochester, but he's unlikely to get a lot of playing time with the Twins.
