July 23, 2008 Ryan Freel underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a torn hamstring tendon behind his right knee, according to the AP. July 18, 2008 Ryan Freel will undergo surgery to repair a torn hamstring, according to Reds.com. It is not known how long he will be out. July 2, 2008 The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Ryan Freel has experienced yet another setback in his recovery from an injured hamstring. On Tuesday, he said he "felt another pop." An MRI showed a complete tear. June 14, 2008 Ryan Freel doesn't believe he'll be ready in two-to-three weeks. He ruptured his right hamstring on June 4 and was given that timeframe. "They said two to three weeks," Freel tells the Cincinnati Enquirer. "It's hard to see how it's going to be ready in two weeks... I pulled my hamstring 30 percent off the bone... It's kind of weird."
