Reliever Luis Vizcaino is scheduled to pitch one inning for Triple-A Colorado Springs tonight, according to the Colorado Springs Gazette. He is recovering from a right shoulder strain.

Luis Vizcaino threw 12 pitches in a simulated game in Tucson on Monday, according to the Denver Post. He has moved one step closer to rejoining the Rockies, and pitching coach Bob Apodaca said, "I'd like to see him get up to 25 pitches, but now it's a matter of getting him ready to pitch at a major-league level. His health is fine, his velocity is fine. But now he's got to regain his touch and timing. We'll see how long that takes."

Luis Vizcaino took another positive step Tuesday in recovering from his strained right shoulder, throwing 17 pitches in an extended spring training game. "He came out great," Rockies head athletic trainer Keith Dugger told MLB.com. "He feels good. His velocity was up. I don't know the line, but he was fine."
