He also doubled and scored twice for the Angels. September 2, 2008 Chone Figgins was on base three times with a hit and two walks, and wound up stealing three bases in the Angels 5-4 win over Detroit. August 29, 2008 Chone Figgins had two hits and stole his 26th base of the season for the Angels (he was also caught for the 11th time). August 27, 2008 Third baseman Chone Figgins is not in the Angels’ lineup on Wednesday because an irritated big toe on his left foot, the result of a bad step during a run-down play in the seventh inning of a 5-1 victory over Oakland a day earlier, according to the Orange County Register. August 25, 2008 Chone Figgins went 2-for-4 but was picked off of first base, the tenth time he has been caught stealing this season, in the Angels 2-1 loss to Oakland.
