August 29, 2008 Nate McLouth went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and registered the Pirates' lone RBI in Friday's 3-1 loss to Milwaukee. His other hit was a single. August 27, 2008 Nate McLouth could be moved from center field to left field in upcoming seasons, if Pirates prospect Andrew McCutchen makes it to the big league club, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. August 24, 2008 Nate McLouth has missed four games with an illness, but he should be returning to the Pirates lineup no later than Tuesday, according to Pirates.com. August 23, 2008 Nate McLouth sat out again Saturday. He hasn't played since Monday due to a stomach virus, according to MLB.com. He had a mononucleosis test that came back negative and is awaiting results on blood work. "He's feeling better; last night, he kind of turned the corner," said manager John Russell. "The consensus, without getting the test results back, is he's on the back side of this."
