Cliff Lee became the first Indians hurler since 1974 (Gaylord Perry) to win 20 games as he improved to 20-2 with his masterpiece over the White Sox, a complete game, five hit shutout.

The Indians and Tigers put more than a few hits on the board this evening, but Cleveland found better efficiency and earned the win, 10-4. The effort, as is oftent the case, was led by ace Cliff Lee, going 7 2/3 innings to allow just two runs (both earned) on six hits with one walk and four strikeouts.

Cliff Lee added another chapter to his storybook 2008 season Friday, allowing two runs on eight hits and two walks with six strikeouts over all nine innings. It was Lee's third complete game of the season, and he now has an improbable record of 17-2.
