Mark Teahen was not in Thursday's lineup as he is dealing with soreness in his back and hamstring, according to the KC Star. Manager Trey Hillman said, "He’s not feeling too good, so we’ll let that settle down."

Mark Teahen needed a day off on Saturday, and he wasn't in the lineup for the first time since June 14, according to the Kansas City Star. Skipper Trey Hillman said, "There’s not anything glaring with Mark Teahen right now. I just felt like he needed a day mentally as well as physically right now."
