Glen Perkins will start Saturday for the Twins against the Royals and he is encouraged that the extra rest he was given will allow him to come out strong, according to The Star Tribune.

The Twins have altered their rotation according to the Chicago Tribune. The move was made to avoid starting Glen Perkins against the White Sox next week. "We need to give [Perkins] a little bit of a mental break here," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire told the Star-Tribune.
