The Giants optioned Chad Santos to Triple-A Fresno on Saturday to make room on the roster for the newly acquired Seah Hillenbrand, according to the AP. Santos hit .429 (3-for-7) with a homer and two RBI in three games for the Giants.

The Giants recalled Chad Santos from Triple-A Fresno to replace Lance Niekro on the roster, according to the AP. Santos, who has never played in the majors, was batting .263 with 12 homers and 63 RBIs for Fresno.
