August 25, 2008 Lou Montanez helped the Orioles win a game on Monday that started in April. Resuming the contest in the 12th inning after it had been suspended in the spring, Montanez hit a bases loaded single in the 14th inning, leading the Orioles to a 4-3 win over the White Sox.
August 16, 2008 Lou Montanez was not available on Saturday due to an injured left hand and wrist. He was hit by a throw on Friday. "Montanez is not able to swing a bat," manager Dave Trembley informs MLB.com. "When he slid into second [Friday] night, he got hit. So he's sore and he's not in the lineup." The outfielder may be able to play on Sunday.
