Nyjer Morgan appeared to hurt his hamstring running out an infield hit to lead off Pittsburgh’s game Thursday night against the Milwaukee Brewers according to the AP. Morgan ran through the base in the first inning and grabbed his left hamstring. He spent several minutes talking to a trainer before exiting, but ran off the field without a limp.

Nyjer Morgan started for the fourth time over five games Tuesday, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The team has been pleased with his progress and manager John Russell said, "He's still learning a lot, but he's taking advantage of his opportunity right now. It's going to be a big off-season for him, a big spring. He wasn't as prepared this past spring as he could have been, and he now needs to put himself into a better position."
