June 24, 2008 MLB.com reports that Julian Tavarez, or maybe his agent Scott Boras, rejected Milwaukee's assignment to Triple-A, forcing the Brewers to part ways with him. June 19, 2008 The Brewers designated Julian Tavarez for assignment Thursday. The move was made to clear a roster spot for David Riske, who was activated from the DL. May 27, 2008 The Brewers have activated newly acquired pitcher Julian Tavarez, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. To make room on the roster, the team sent lefty Zach Jackson to Triple-A Nashville.
