November 23, 2008 Jeff Clement, who had arthroscopic surgery on his knee on September 9th, has been cleared to start running and he is about two weeks away from being cleared to begin hitting off a tee, according to the Everett Herald. "He's still got to come out and see the doctor in early January, but all indications are that he'll be OK," trainer Rick Griffin said.

If you're uncomfortable, you're still going to be up there hacking at everything, and I still find myself doing that in some at-bats and being too aggressive. But as long as I try to stay back and see the ball go deep, I have more success than when I don't."
