Both pitchers put forth valiant efforts on the mound this evening, but it was the Rockies emerging with the 8-2 win over the Nationals, leaving Washington LHP John Lannan disappointed with the results. Lannan pitched seven innings, allowing two runs (both earned) on five hits with two walks and eight strikeouts.
