"I feel good," Gallagher said Saturday. "I felt good going out there and was able to locate my pitches and pitch how I wanted to pitch, and how I know I'm able to."

Justin Duchscherer has been shut down for the season according to MLB.com. Duchscherer has been on the disabled list with a strained right hip since Aug. 19 -- the same hip the 30-year-old had surgery on last July. "He's not," Geren said matter-of-factly when asked when Duchscherer would throw again. "He's shut down. He's going to go to see [Dr. Byrd, who] did his surgery last year, to get reevaluated."
