Zobrist, Blalock share AL weekly honor
New York, NY (Sports Network) - Tampa Bay Rays infielder Ben Zobrist and Texas Rangers infielder Hank Blalock earned a share of the top player honor in the American League for the final week of the season.

Zobrist hit .455 down the stretch for the AL East champion Rays. He added four multi-hit performances during the span, ending the campaign by going 7-for-15 with four home runs and seven RBI in a four-game series against the Detroit Tigers.

It was the first weekly award for the 28-year-old.
