Bucks sign C Elson Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Bucks signed center
Francisco Elson on Thursday. Per team policy, terms were not disclosed.
The seven-foot, 240-pound Elson comes to Milwaukee after splitting the 2007-08
season between San Antonio and Seattle. The 32-year-old Netherlands native
averaged 3.5 points and 3.3 rebounds with the Spurs before he was dealt to the
SuperSonics in February.

Coach Scott Skiles has been pleased with Matt Freije through camp and the preseason so far, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. On Saturday night, the 6-foot-10 Freije scored 11 points and added four boards over 13 minutes of action in the Bucks' 111-99 loss to the Pistons. He drained his only three-point attempt and was 5-of-6 from the field. Skiles said, "Matt is one of those guys who is a classic team guy. He knows everything you're running; he executes everything. He can also make an open shot. He defends his spot. He's been a guy who has been on the verge before of playing in the NBA and hasn't quite made it. You can rely on him when he's out there. He's a kind of system guy. We don't have a roster spot right now. It's possible a spot can be created at some point. He's played very well, and he certainly has not hurt himself. I imagine other people that are watching our games are noticing him, too."
Forward Charlie Villanueva scored 26 points and added eight rebounds in Saturday's preseason loss to the Pistons. He also managed five fouls and five turnovers. Villanueva shot 10-of-20 from the floor.
