Stoudemire exits before pre-World Championship Tour Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) - Forward Amare Stoudemire will miss the USA's
exhibition game against Puerto Rico Thursday evening and will not travel with
the team during its pre-World Championship tour.
"During the past few days of our training camp we concluded that it would be
difficult for Amare to continue with the rehabilitation he needs to do while
the team continues its training in Asia," USA Basketball senior national team
managing director Jerry Colangelo said. "He is not quite where he needs to be

Michael Finley reported to camp 15 pounds lighter, according to the San Antonio Express-News. I feel lighter, I feel better, he said. I just want to be prepared physically and mentally. Mentally, knowing that the opportunity of playing more minutes will be there, and I just want to be prepared at that task. Physically, I wanted to be in the best shape that I could be.
Forward Robert Horry isn't on an NBA roster, but he isn't ready to retire. "Not being in camp doesn't feel strange at all," Horry informs the San Antonio Express-News. "My body has told me I need more than three months of rest between seasons. I haven't felt this good for a long time, physically and mentally, too... You'll probably see me on somebody's roster before the season is over."
The AP reports that Manu Ginobili who had surgery on his left ankle in early September, could miss at least two months of the season. Though off crutches and out of a protective boot, hes still got plenty of rehab.
