When his mechanics are good and he feels like he has time and can step up, he's probably about as good as you can find in the business," Rams coach Jim Haslett said.

Haslett said, "Marcs the starting quarterback, and hell be the starting quarterback the rest of the year unless something happens. I talk to Marc and Trent Green about it. Its more a gut feeling on my part. I talked to the offensive coaches, and everybody involved, and I thought Marc would give us the best opportunity to win games for the next three months."
