March 1, 2008 John Gilmore has agreed to terms of a three-year deal with the Bucs, according to the Tampa Tribune. Details of the contract weren't released, but it's presumably for much more than the league minimum, which is all the Bears anted up in their offer. Gilmore is an outstanding blocker, but he won't have any fantasy value; he had just 11 catches over the past five seasons.
July 23, 2006 John Gilmore was arrested early Saturday morning outside a Gold Coast night club, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. He was charged with criminal trespassing, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of less than two grams of marijuana. The charges are all misdemeanors. Gilmore is subject to either a fine and/or a suspension by the NFL.
