Tank Williams is fitting in very well with the Patriots, according to the Boston Globe. He is making a solid impact on the practice field, and notably ran stride for stride with sparkplug Kevin Faulk, and intercepted a Tom Brady pass close to the sideline. Williams is a hard-hitter, and provides the Patriots with flexibility to use as a safety and sub-package linebacker.

The New England Patriots signed Minnesota free agent safety to an undisclosed contract, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Williams, 27, appeared in 13 games with two starts last season for the Vikings after missing all of 2006 because of a training-camp knee injury.
