The Arizona Cardinals have signed quarterback Brian St. Pierre to a one-year contract, according to Pro Football Talk. St. Pierre, who is familiar with coach Ken WhisenhuntÂ’s offensive scheme from their time together in Pittsburgh, will fill the No. 3 role in Arizona, behind Matt Leinart and Kurt Warner.

The Arizona Cardinals are interested in former Pittsburgh quarterback Brian St. Pierre, according to the Arizona Republic. St. Pierre has been in the NFL for five seasons but has thrown just one pass. He spent four of those seasons with Pittsburgh, so he obviously knows Ken Whisenhunt's offense. Rumors suggest St. Pierre could sign as early as next week, which is not good news for Tim Hasselbeck or Tim Rattay.
