He received $15 million in guaranteed money and a $9 million signing bonus. July 14, 2008 The Cowboys and safety Ken Hamlin are getting close to an agreement on a long-term contract, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Hamlin was given the franchise tag this offseason, and the two sides have until 4:00 pm EST on Tuesday to reach an agreement. July 5, 2008 Ken Hamlin's contract negotiations with the Cowboys continue to be on-going, according to the Dallas Morning News. June 18, 2008 Safety Ken Hamlin did not attend minicamp practice on Tuesday and has yet to sign his franchise tag. He is hoping for a long-term deal.
