March 5, 2007 Jarret Johnson agreed to a new six-year contract with Baltimore on Friday, according to the Sports Network. "It's good to keep Jarret," said Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome. "He has been a very productive player for us with the ability to line up at a number of positions. He's tough, smart and always prepared. The coaches can start him at an outside linebacking spot, but he can also play with his hand in the dirt, and he's solid in coverage."
March 4, 2007 The Ravens re-signed Jarret Johnson to a three-year, $13 million deal on Saturday, according to the AP. "It just goes to show how confident they are in you," Johnson said. "You always know they like you, but when they come out and show it to you, it's a nice compliment." The deal was reached shortly after Adalius Thomas left to sign with New England.
