Romo returned to practice on Thursday. Johnson took the reps with the starters during the media access portion of practice. The limited snaps that Romo got were all out of the shotgun. It appeared that more of Romo's passes fluttered than normal.

And if his pinkie becomes a displaced fracture, then the 4- to 5-week time frame which Romo is expected to miss would become more prolonged. With a displaced fracture, Romo would face season-ending surgery.
