Tank Tyler has replaced Ron Edwards as a starting defensive tackle, the Kansas City Star reports. The 2007 third-round pick will work alongside prized rookie Glenn Dorsey.

The Chiefs want to see more of Tyler Thigpen before making a long-term decision on the second-year player as the teams backup quarterback, according to the Kansas City Star. Thigpen played the entire second half Saturday, completing 16 of 27 passes with a touchdown. He also threw an interception, which was thrown high and tipped by receiver Bobby Sippio, but then returned for a touchdown. Thigpen also overthrew a handful of passes to open receivers before he found Sergiori Joachim in the end zone with 15 seconds to play.
