Mathias Kiwanuka, DESaturday 9/6, 2:05 PM CT
Mathias Kiwanuka accused Chris Samuels of a dirty play when the Redskins' tackle fell on the back of his ankle after being beaten on a pass rush on the final play of Thursday's season opener, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Kiwanuka said, "Honestly, I thought it was a dirty play. There's no question about it. He was definitely beat and instead of recovering or giving up, I don't know how many options you had, but I just don't think there is any place for that in the NFL." Samuels responded, "On that particular play I was just trying to protect my quarterback. It was never my intention to go out there and injure another player."
Ahmad Bradshaw, RBSaturday 9/6, 10:28 AM CT
Ahmad Bradshaw had zero carries in Thursday's opener against the Redskins, but it was not intentional and coach Tom Coughlin admitted that he didn't get the running back rotation set the way he wanted to, according to the NY Post.
Lawrence Tynes, KSaturday 9/6, 10:18 AM CT
Lawrence Tynes indicated that he may not return until Week 5 against Seattle, according to the NY Post. Tynes tested his injured left knee Friday for the first time in a month, attempting 10 field goals. He noted he needs to get up to 40 or 50 a day before he tries kickoffs and even thinks about playing.
