Palm Beach Gardens, FL (Sports Network) - Y.E. Yang fired a five-under 65 Friday to take a one-stroke lead after two rounds of the Honda Classic.

Yang, who made four birdies on his second nine Friday, completed 36 holes at seven-under-par 133. It is the first time Yang has owned an overnight lead on the PGA Tour.

First-round leader Robert Allenby posted a two-under 68 and shares second place at minus-six with Will Mackenzie (67) and Jeff Overton (67).

Ben Crane is alone in fifth place at five-under-par 135 thanks to a second- round 65 on the Champion Course at PGA National Resort & Spa.

The cut line fell at three-over-par 143 with 79 players moving on to the weekend. Defending champion Ernie Els (70) survived on the number.
